June 8-9th - On the road with Tambura Rasa - playing two shows, Friday and Saturday night at the re-opening of Cliffs Cafe in Enderby. So if you have friends in the Okanagan send them our way. Looking forward to getting out of town and chilling by the river in Enderby, always a blast.
June 10th - I'll be performing with Tambura Rasa at the Vancouver International Bhangra festival. We are playing a free outdoor concert in the afternoon, come by and dance with us.

June 13th - 4III2 with Siobhan Sloane-Seale at the Kozmik Zoo on W. Broadway by Manitoba. Come join us for an evening of original folk/pop/rock with this new side project of mine. Led by songwriter and bassist, Stephen Fisk, with Skye Brooks on drums and Sharon Minnemoto on keys. I'm playing vibes and using some effects for textual ambience. June 14th - with Tambura Rasa at the Jazz Cellar - an awesome intimate listening experience in one of Vancouver's finest music venues. We're doing a monthly show here in 2012, these shows have sold out everytime, so please do book a table in advance if you plan to come and check it out. June 17th - Car Free Days - Always a treat to enjoy Vancouver on Car Free Day, you will likely find me playing some music somewhere around Main or Commercial Dr. I encourage you to go wander the streets and join in the festivities.
June 19th - with Curtis Andrews the Offering - at the Kozmik Zoo - come join us for a Tuesday night of live Afro-Indian Jazz music, featuring the compositions of Curtis Andrews and the fine musical talents of his band.

June 25 - with Bocephus King Orchestra Familia - Opening for WIL for the Vancouver Jazz Festival at one of Vancouver's hippest new venues.

Summer Camps for Kids
School of Groove
July 2-6, July 9-13th (full) and August 7th-10th
I am pleased to be offering several workshops for kids ages 8-12 this summer. These courses are co-taught by my friend and colleague Michelle Cormier, who also leads a mariachi band for youth, one of the only ones in Canada. Students will learn about music from around the world. Cuba, Brazil, and West Africa. All the students will learn to play guitar, congas, marimba, shakers, djembe, and more in this fun half day camp.
Classes run from 12:30-3:30 throughout the week with a performance at the end of the session on Friday.
Course fee is $150 including HST
No experience neccessary
